WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF COMPETITION SPOTS!
Fifteen. That's all the spots that are left for the public to subscribe to the second Belgian Championship (competition). The last 10 spots have been reserved for our sponsors, so make sure you don't wait too much longer. We expect to have reached our maximum capacity by the end of this week ultimately!

OUR WEBSITE AND REGISTRATIONS ARE BACK ONLINE!
It's been a very frustrating 48 hours for the whole EC crew! Since the website went down monday morning, we've spent countless hours responding to your messages, looking for solutions and feeling immensely stupid for not having a complete and up-to-date back-up.
This afternoon, at last, our hosting company's tech monkeys were able to restore systems to a stable state! We're happy to announce that as of now, registrations are open again!

CHECK OUT WHAT WE FOUND!
This winter, on our way to the competition track, we found this perfect tarmac nearby. Perhaps something to consider when expanding in editions to come?
PS: This year, we'll have a mini skateramp for between race entertainment. Don't forget your boards!

READY FOR ANOTHER EDITION!
Last year's - first ever - Belgian Championship Downhill Skate-boarding was a great succes, with over 80 participants coming from 6 European countries! With nothing but positive feedback on the previous edition, as well as many contented riders, we're optimistic we'll at least double that number this year. To anticipate this expected growth, we have prolonged this year's edition by one day, starting rides on Friday and concluding the championship on Sunday. We're also accommodated to host 200 participants (100 competitors + 100 more freeriders).
Registrations start tomorrow evening, March 9 @ 6 p.m. CET precisely. Key is to subscribe immediately, as we cannot predict how fast our maximum capacity will be reached. Be sure to have money in your PayPal-account or a credit card nearby, as those are the only two accepted means of payment, and your registration will not be final without immediate checkout.
For those still in doubt wether they should participate, the 2013 official aftermovie should be able to convince you!

- 2013 edition
After 7 months of preparations, the 5 inspirers of Eat Concrete were ready to host the first Belgian Championship Downhill Skateboarding ever. On the 4th and 5th of May 2013 the place to be was Gros-Fays in Namur, Belgium. The evening before, on Friday, everyone was welcome to chill at the camping and enjoy a little concert by the fire, drink some pints and prepare for the next 2 days of thrilling competition.
84 people registered for this first Belgian Championship. Men and women from Sweden, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands and - of course - Belgium all together. Day one started off with a freeride in which all competitors could get the feel of the track. The contestants rode down, 4 riders at time at a maximum speed of 80km/h. In the afternoon the first four of seven selection rounds were held. Three more were held on Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon the best 16 qualifiers fought for the Eat Concrete and Belgian Championship title.
Our first downhill contest was a blast! Perfect weather, lovely people, lots of spectators and a lot of Belgian beer.
There was a positive vibe between the competitors and everyone displayed a high level of skill. The Community of Bièvre also, and the mayor in particular, were very excited about the event. We hope to see all of you guys again next year for the second edition of Eat Concrete!
Special thanks go out to all our sponsors: WoodNote Boards, Sickboards, All4Skate Shop, Decibel, FROS vzw, SurfShop Medusa, RedBull Mobile, OoDeeKay, Original Skateboards, Root Longboards, AllBoardSports, Commune de Bièvre, Jupiler, Stuvo Howest, Buysse Horeca and many more. Super special thanks to all the amazing volunteers, we couldn’t have done it without you!

IMPORTANT: UPDATE ON THE RULES!
As we just noticed, there was a little glitch in the rules section on this website. Nothing outrageous, but still worth the mention: In the competition on Sunday only stand-up skateboarding is allowed - as was to be read in the rules. What we failed to mention however, was that on Saturday all kinds of boarders are welcome!
That being said, we feel like we've just eliminated your last excuse not to join us on the hill... Be there!

WHEN REGISTRATING, PAY ATTENTION!
We're pleased to ascertain that riders are finding their ways to the registration page very well. Please, do however pay attention to the following when subscribing:
1. Until you pay your admission fee through PayPal, you're registration is NOT official! Only when the PayPal checkout is complete (you'll receive an email stating the payment has been made) your entry is assured!
2. Some people seem to be using very out-of-date web browsers and as such they're having problems completing registration. Note that any recent version of all major browsers will get you where you need to be.
3. For the moment, we're checking all registrations by hand, as such it may take some time until you find your name in the riderslist on the registration page. Be patient: PAYMENT MADE = CERTAIN ENTRY!
